As-Salaam-Alaikum,
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.
On the morning of Friday September 2nd 2022, we lost our dearest Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and friend, Lila Karim. Lila was loved, cherished and precious to our family. She has touched so many people in her 84 years of life.
Lila was a thoughtful, caring, and generous woman. She loved catering to people and knew how to create special moments with you that would last a lifetime. She enjoyed spending time with the people she loved, as much as she did welcoming new people with her open arms, mind and heart. Her sudden death has left us in shock and will leave a scar on our hearts; she will be forever loved and missed.
This go-fund me is to raise money for her Sadaqah Jariyah (a continous gift that benefits others in this life as well as our loved ones in the next). InshAllah, with the money raised, we will be able to provide a water well (in her name) to provide clean water to those in need. Since Lila was a seamstress, we thought we could honour her further by gifting sewing machines (with material and cotton startup). The sewing machines would provide a way to create a source of income, in addition to clothing themselves.
The prophet Muhammed (SAW) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds cease except three; a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who prays for them.
We ask that you donate what is within your means and what you are comfortable with. We would appreciate you sharing this fundraiser on whatever platform you use. May Allah reward you for your contributions, prayers, duas, love and sympathy.
We love you Lila, and we will remember you forever. May Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannah.
