Sadaqah Jariyah For Safia Saleh Suguleh

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return”

It is with great sadness to announce that on the 10th July 2023, our beloved Safia Saleh Suguleh, a mother, wife, aunt, sister and a dear friend to so many in the Sheffield Somali community and beyond sadly passed away after battling Cancer for the last 3 years.

Sadaqah Jariyah is a gift that not only benefits others in this life but also benefits us and our loved ones in the Hereafter. On her behalf, we are fundraising to build a water well in her name to ensure that she benefits from the reward of Sadaqah Jariyah inshallah. The funds will be sent to African Relief Fund who will undertake the work of building the water well in the community of Ceel Dhadhable, located 15 kilometers west of Erigavo which faces a severe water crisis

The Prophet (SAW) said: “When a person dies, all of their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a child who prays for them”

We are all shocked and saddened and deeply wounded by this sudden loss but knew that this moment would come one day. She leaves behind 6 wonderful children including a 12 year old daughter who is struggling to understand where mummy has gone.

We pray that Allah (swt) forgives her sins and she is granted the highest rank in Jannah.

The Prophet (SAW) said: “Charity does not decrease wealth.”
