Charity in memory of Mohammad ‘Momo’ Albaddawi

Assalamu Alaykom wa Rahmat Allah wa barakatu. May peace, mercy and blessings be bestowed upon you. 

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of 28 year old Mohammad “Momo” Al Baddawi on September 7, 2020. Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji’oon.

The eyes of our community are shedding tears and the hearts are grieved, and we will not say except what pleases Allah (SWT).

Momo was a kind and gentle soul. One who’s light radiated to the hearts of those around him. He made an effort to always make a positive impact in the lives of each and every person he encountered. We ask everyone to spread kindness, to spread positivity, and to spread hope and make a difference in honor of Momo.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."
[Muslim].

We have come together as a community to continue what Momo taught us. We are hoping to build a Water Well in his name that will benefit those who need it the most for many years to come. May his scale of good deeds continue to increase with every use of this well. 

100 % donations will be used for funeral related costs and a Sadaqah Jariyah in Momo’s name.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

May Allah widen his grave and elevate his rank in Jannah.
