Fundraiser for Mom’s funeral expenses
Donation protected
Cancer.. is a more than a simple word - It is a battle, a struggle of life or death; something that turns lives upside down.
In 2007, due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, My Mom had a lung transplant that saved her life, and has allowed my family time to love and grow together that we would not have had otherwise.
My Mom has now been diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD), which is lymphoma that can develop in people who have had a transplant. Her specific type is Monomorphic PTLD (M-PTLD) Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) .
The thing that saved her life over 10 years ago, is now the root cause of her current battle. She is battling chronic rejection of the lung, and the cancer has spread to the transplant lung. She has been giving weeks to months to live.
My mom is the strongest person I know, and is one of my best friends, and I love her so very dearly. My Mom's battle is my battle - and I will be supporting her until she is she no longer with us.
However, this is a large financial strain..this campaign is an effort to assist in the financial struggles of the medical expenses and funeral cost, so my Mom can focus on fighting and trying to enjoy the time she has left without having constantly the running thought of how to pay for everything during her last moments with us..
I am reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who reads this and feels moved to help, even the smallest donation of $5 would make a world of difference.
Thank you to all who have been there, and will be there to support me and my family. <3
Also, I feel the need to bring this hardly discussed type of cancer a voice, a visible platform, and bring awareness to those who may have either a family member or friend with a transplant.
