Safe Drinking Water for Diba Village, Plumtree
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Justice Dube, and I was born and spent a significant part of my childhood in rural Plumtree, a town located in southwestern Zimbabwe. Diba is one of many villages in and around Plumtree where locals do not have access to safe drinking water due to many reasons, primarily associated with droughts, economics and politics.
The United Nations estimates that only 24% of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa have access to safe drinking water and that 28% have basic sanitation facilities that are not shared with other households. In summary, many governments in Africa have just not made the necessary investment. Being involved with this project is both gratifying and deeply personal, and I implore you to please join me in helping to build a borehole water supply system that will provide clean and safe drinking water to the Diba community.
