Safe haven in Montreal for new arrivals
Donation protected
Friends and family,
Help me welcome a pregnant couple to Montreal, as they navigate Canada's asylum process.
I've paired up with Frantz André, a tireless volunteer advocate for refugees in Montreal, to raise funds for a Haitian couple and their 4yr old son in need of safe, temporary housing in Quebec. They were moved to Niagra after crossing at Roxham Road in February, but they do not speak English. As the wife is heavily pregnant, it's vital that they relocate quickly so she can access medical services they can understand.
The good news is we've secured them a place to live for 5 weeks while they get their bearings and prepare for the baby. Now we're looking to our community for funds to help get them settled.
Your donations will go toward their rent, groceries, public transport and basic necessities for the newborn. Any amount is appreciated! If you have food or baby items to donate, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Thank you so much!!
