Safe House For Bali Street Kids & Mums

Bali Street Mums was established four
years ago to aid the mothers and children who are forced to beg on the streets of Bali due to extreme poverty .  These families
come from the volcanic  mountains of Bali
where there is no water, no schools or
hospitals .  Life is very harsh and for
decades  generations of mothers and their
children have come down to the city to beg

Children  carry babies onto busy streets,
approaching cars stopped at the traffic
lights, begging  up to 15 hours a day.
These kids suffer malnutrition, lung
diseases from the pollution, are often
assaulted and  do not have a childhood.
 
We need your help to provide refuge for the mums and kids, nutrition, medical aid  and schooling for the children . We help the mothers to learn how to make crafts so that they can earn a living wage and not take their children back to the streets to beg.

We employ a full time Social Worker Child Psychologist who helps the children to gain confidence and learn how to play, ensures
they receive schooling and helps them to
recover from abuse.

For some time we have desperately needed a safe house to home some of  the most at risk children.  We havefound that house and paid the first years rent .  The house rent is $1500 per annum.  However the house
needs repairing and we need to make a
garden and play area for the children.
We need $1500 to repair the house
                      $1000 to furnish the house beds, fridge,cooking equipment,mats,etc
                      $800  Play area paving and garden outside
                      $12,000 to provide meals and electricity for the year
                      $4000 support to the surround sound area, providing meals and food supplies
                     $ 3700 extra support staff, medical visits 

We keep our overheads to a minimum with no office, computers or Director salaries.

All children have a right to a childhood , a
place to learn and dream .  Please help us to
give these children the childhood they
deserve.
