Safe Housing for Three Bay Area Siblings
Donativo protegido
My friend and her two younger siblings recently left an unsafe, physically violent home environment. The siblings are currently staying with friends but are looking for safe long-term housing where they can remain together. This is a fundraiser so that they can pay for housing, groceries, and home essentials they will need when they find a new place.
The siblings plan to use the funds as follows:
Covering the first month's rent ($2,200)
Covering the last month's rent ($2,200)
Covering the safety deposit ($2,200)
Purchasing two beds and two mattresses ($1,000)
Purchasing basic furniture like a dining table set & sofa ($1,000)
Groceries for June & July ($900)
Purchasing basic appliances like a vacuum cleaner, blender, pots, and pans ($750)
Purchasing bedroom essentials like sheets & comforters ($500)
Purchasing essential kitchen & bathroom goods like plates, cups, utensils, and towels ($400)
Purchasing clothing basics ($250)
Setting up internet ($100)
Emergency fund for unexpected expenses ($1,000)
The siblings are also looking for counseling and social work resources for the brother. If you know of free or low-cost options, please let me know via email or text at [email redactado] or (510) [teléfono redactado].
If you’re in the Bay Area, please also let me know if you are able to provide in-kind donations (i.e. furniture or cleaning supplies). You can also email my friend directly at [email redactado]
