Safe Space Foundation for Education

Safe Space Foundation is een vrijwillige organisatie , die gemaakt is door Ashley Anna, die kinderen en tieners van jongs af aan wilt leren wat grenzen zijn en hoe je je grenzen aangeeft. Dit zodat elk kind weet wanneer er sprake is van seksueel misbruik. Als we kinderen leren duidelijk ´Nee´ te zeggen tegen ongewenst contact, verkleint dat de kans op seksueel misbruik. Het is nooit de fout van het kind, het is niet aan het kind om seksueel misbruik te voorkomen. En als ouder of voogd kun je helaas nooit volledig voorkomen dat je kind iets naars overkomt. Maar dat neemt niet weg dat het van belang is dat kinderen van kleins af aan wordt geleerd dat je lichaam van jou is! Jij bent baas over je eigen lichaam! Er zijn grenzen en iemand anders moet je grenzen respecteren. En zo moet je ook iemand anders grenzen respecteren. Vooral voor kinderen is de grens tussen wat wel en niet kan vaak moeilijk te herkennen. Nee is OK!

Ik verkoop Safe Space HERO t-shirts om zo meer awareness te creeeren en anderen slachtoffers te laten zien dat ze niet alleen ervoor staan! Met het geld dat ik inzamel, koop ik Nee is OK boeken gemaakt door Slachtoffer hulp Nederland. Deze boeken doneer ik aan Nederlandse scholen. Deze boeken leren kinderen op een kindervriendelijke manier wat grenzen zijn en dat jou lichaam van jou is! Nu is er ook een optie door GoFundme om te doneren zonder een tshirt te kopen voor degenen die dit willen!

I proudly represent Safe Space Foundation. Safe Space Foundation is a Dutch voluntary organization created by Ashley Anna that aims to teach children and teens from an early age what boundaries are and how to define them. This so that every child knows when there is a case of sexual abuse. If we teach children to clearly say 'No' to unwanted contact, this reduces the risk of sexual abuse. It is never the child's fault, it is not the child's responsibility to prevent sexual abuse. And as a parent or guardian, you can unfortunately never completely prevent something bad from happening to your child. But that does not alter the fact that it is important that children are taught from an early age that your body is yours! You are the boss of your own body! There are boundaries and someone else has to respect your boundaries. And so you have to respect someone else's boundaries.

I sell Safe Space HERO t-shirts to create more awareness and show other victims that they are not alone! With the money I collected, I buy No is OK books made by Victim Support Netherlands. I donated these books to Dutch schools. These books teach children in a child-friendly way what boundaries are and that your body is yours! Now there is also an option through GoFundme to donate without buying a t-shirt for those who want to!
