Safe Streets Baltimore is a community-based violence intervention program. Primarily, Safe Streets' violence interruptors de-escalate shootings without involving police. The program also focuses on community building through organized events such as softball games, cook outs, job training, art for kids, restorative justice initiatives,  youth councils, etc.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Safe Streets has expanded their programs to deliver free food to the homeless and food insecure in the city. They have delivered 7,830 meals, 1,540 boxes of fresh produce, and 1,670 grocery bags so far during the pandemic.
These donations will help Safe Streets continue their food delivery program and keep people from going hungry. Most of the people that receive these free meals are families with young children, the disabled, and the elderly. They are depending on us for their meals. Let's do our part to show up for the vulnerable members of our community and help fund this program. This money will go to the Baltimore Mediation Center on the behalf of Safe Streets
