**UPDATE: The death toll continues to rise days after Hurricane Ian tore through Florida, devastating entire communities. Hundreds of thousands of families lost their homes and businesses, and are now without shelter, electricity or water.
HELP US GET SAFE DRINKING WATER TO THOSE IMPACTED BY HURRICANE IAN.**
Hurricane Fiona, this year’s first major hurricane for the Atlantic region – has already devastated the islands of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. It left over 200,000 people in Puerto Rico and 1,018,564 across the Dominican Republic, due to severe flooding and nonfunctioning aqueducts.
Not even a week later, Hurricane Ian has wreaked havoc across parts of the Caribbean. Last week, the nearly category 5 storm made landfall in Florida, where communities are facing catastrophic damage.
LifeStraw is working with new and longstanding partners, and has already shipped hundreds of filters to the Caribbean -- to ensure access to safe drinking water and to help avoid waterborne disease outbreaks. We are now also working with partners in Florida to reach families impacted by the devastating Hurricane Ian.
100% of donated funds go toward the cost of products and distribution of supplies. Vestergaard Frandsen, Inc. (d/b/a “LifeStraw”) does not profit from your donation.
