Safe Water for Kentucky
Tax deductible
Help us provide safe drinking water to families impacted by the recent devastating floods in eastern Kentucky.
At least 37 people have died in the flooding, and hundreds more are unaccounted for. The flooding and continued rains have knocked out homes, roads, essential power lines and water utilities in five counties -- leaving people without access to shelter, food, electricity or safe drinking water.
In the worst hit areas, water lines were washed out completely and it will be months or longer before they can be replaced. Many communities are utilizing springs, swimming pools, and even flood water for all their water needs.
LifeStraw is partnering with the USDA and community grassroots efforts to ship down thousands of personal, household and community-size filters to distribute to affected areas. Help us reach more families!
100% of donated funds go toward the cost of products and distribution of supplies. Vestergaard Frandsen, Inc. (d/b/a “LifeStraw”) does not profit from your donation.
LifeStraw’s Safe Water Fund operates through a fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, a Maryland charitable trust recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178). Contributions to LifeStraw’s Safe Water Fund are tax-deductible.
