Safe Zone Book Campaign

We are raising money to donate copies of Echoed in My Bones to inner-city groups that mentor and empower at-risk teens. These books will be given out as part of our Safe Zone Program, which aims to help adolescents learn to set boundaries, recognize risks, and end dangerous relationships. Research has shown that having one trusted adult is an important predictor of positive outcome when abuse and trauma has occurred. To this end, our goal is to encourage each teen to find that trusted adult and create an emotional support system. These books will help them understand what resilience might look like and encourage self-compassion in those who've experienced trauma and/or abuse. We'd like to eventually purchase 100 books at a discounted price of $13 per book.
