Build an Autism Haven at Home for Spence & Paris

Tax deductible
One in 54 children in the US are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder by age 8. Forty-two percent of their caregivers report high levels of stress and anxiety. There are therapy gyms that have safe, sensory spaces where a child can be brought to play, but no option for parents to bring that safe space home. The result is devastating. Parents are helplessly watching their children harm themselves and others at home. Sleepless nights turn into unproductive, stressful days with no peace of mind in sight.

Until now. Safe Sensory Room is a new non-profit organization that renovates the bedrooms of children with severe autism to be a room safe from harm and outfitted with sensory equipment.

Thanks to the generosity of several donors, Safe Sensory Room launched with two happy recipients, Justin and Yosef.

Justin’s dad shared how "The greatest thing this room has given us as parents is peace of mind. We no longer fear Justin getting hurt throughout the night or even during the day when he is in one of his hyper moods." Yosef's mother has shared how having this happy place in the comfort of their own home for Yosef to turn to when he is overstimulated or needs sensory input has been completely life-changing.

Safe Sensory Room's staff have identified and selected two children who need a Safe Sensory Room, but we need YOUR financial support to secure the necessary funding.

Spence is a 13-year-old boy who is strong enough to harm himself and his caretakers and needs a peaceful haven. He is the first on our waiting list and is awaiting the funding for us to begin construction on his Safe Sensory Room.

Paris is a 5-year-old foster child who was recently adopted and is one of six children. Paris' family would love for us to begin constructing a Safe Sensory Room in their home.

The cost of building these rooms with all of the equipment and safety modifications is $18,000 per room.

Please donate generously and help us improve the home lives of Spence, Paris and their families, forever. Your tax-deductible donation today will also spark the growth of this organization and be a catalyst for future life-changing Safe Sensory Rooms to be constructed for children in need.

Share our video, share the campaign, and help ensure a brighter home life for children with severe autism.
