My name is Vivian Moyo, the founder of Safe Haven Women’s Organisation.

I was born in Zimbabwe and came to the Uk at the age of 11 years old. As a young girl, I was rejected by my father and my mum died when I was only 3 years old.

I moved to the UK to live with my uncle when I was just 11 years old. Living with my uncle, I felt unloved and rejected and left home when I was 17 years old. By the time I was 24 years old I had lost two children. My pain then became my purpose.

Safe Haven Women is a social enterprise that exists to help women who have gone through traumatising life experiences such as facing domestic violence, domestic abuse, mental health issues and body dysmorphia to recover in a safe space.

We help them to get back into normality by proving them support with their employability and business skills. They have access to free therapy sessions and they get to express themselves through poetry, drama, dancing and singing.

We are a social enterprise heavily dependent on external funding to executive our business plan. We require grants, donations and contributions from local authorities and charities.

Our vision is of a brighter world where women have access to professional trauma recovery and psychological support without any barriers.

Our mission is to enable women from the minority ethic and poorer financial bases to easily connect with quality recovery and wellbeing help, through our trusted and safe community.

Our values are Safety, Trustworthiness and Empowerment. We will embed these values in all our operations, interactions with our clients, counsellors, therapists, partners, and stakeholders.

We have launched our new campaign called #SafeSpaceForHealing
Healing from childhood trauma can be a very lonely journey; therefore, we are creating a safe space where women can come together without any barriers to entry, to receive the healing they need to move forward with their lives.

We are raising £10,000 so that we can have our own building where women in our centre and community can have access to our service on a daily basis. We also need the money to improve our our training so that we can provide a better service for people in the community.

We also need the money so that we can buy food and cloths for the disadvantage women in the community.

* Help us to pay and support them with lawyers and social workers when needed.
* Help us to support them with employability and business workshop so they can get a better life.
* Help us to buy instruments for our drama, music, dance and poetry workshops to build their confidence.
* It will allow us to take the women and children on trips so they can connect better with the world.
* Helps us to recruit more volunteers to help support Safe Haven with our daily task of the business.

Thank you so much for contribution and support. If you are interested in becoming a partner, sponsor, or investor please send us an email to [email redacted]
