Vital epilepsy monitoring tech for local artisan

Donation protected
My friend N has developed a new (to her) form of epilepsy which entails lengthy 'absences' where she has no consciousness of what she's doing or where she is.

Recently a kindly stranger found her standing by the gates of the allotment, trying to leave, but with no idea of the code to open the gate. She has no memory of leaving her own allotment or wandering to the gates a considerable distance away. The stranger let her out and accompanied her back to her flat, then left, and N describes the next 24-48 hours as being a complete fog. She still has no idea what she was doing during that time.

N has sought medical help with this, of course, but services are so stretched and under-funded at the moment that epilepsy services in her area are virtually non existent. Several appointment dates she has been given have subsequently been withdrawn.

As N lives and works alone - she has a small business in the art sector, working as a designer / maker - her situation is becoming really challenging, as she never knows when she will have her next 'fit'. She feels unsafe at home, and unsafe in her workshop, and worried about going anywhere else alone - for example, she needs to visit her elderly father abroad, but cannot consider such a journey when she may be hijacked by an epileptic absence at any moment.

There is a way we can help her to make her life more tenable!

N has researched an App which can monitor her bodily signs and functions, predict the onset of this kind of seizure, and take appropriate actions to alert named individuals and pinpoint her location so that her friends can keep her safe when she has a seizure. The App is expensive to buy, and also requires a particular phone to run on, and a particular watch to monitor her heart rate etc, neither of which she currently has.

This technology could prevent N from having to adopt a lifestyle that is dangerous and / or very limiting. If she is able to purchase this equipment she will be able to continue her beautiful artistic work without fear, and to travel to spend time with her elderly dad who she hasn't seen since before the pandemic.
