Our Beloved Mother, Sai Moua

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved mother, Sai Moua, who bravely fought against Uterine Cancer. Her journey, filled with many challenges and strengths, has left an indelible mark on our lives.
In 2023, Sai was diagnosed with Stage 3 Uterine Cancer and went through six cycles of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer proved to be too aggressive. With little hope remaining, we sought a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester to explore all possibilities.
Sai was a true fighter, but the relentless growth of the cancer caused many complications, including an inability to eat. Excessive fluid buildup in the abdomen required multiple visits to the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center for drainage. The last visit involved a procedure called paracentesis, where a plastic tube was inserted into her stomach. Unfortunately, the toll on her weakened body was immense, and after the procedure, she could no longer communicate.
After enduring a little over a week in the hospital, Sai peacefully passed away on January 11, 2024.
During this difficult time, we are reaching out for your support. Any contribution you can make will be deeply appreciated and will go towards honoring Sai’s memory and covering funeral expenses.
Thank you for your love, thoughts, and generosity during this challenging period.
With gratitude,
