Sailing Veterinary Mission

Hi everyone!
We are Charlotte and Lloyd and we are raising funds to assist us in our goal to provide veterinary support to remote locations and coastal charities. We are planning on setting off in 2027 on a sailing boat. The funds will help us acquire, fit out the boat and prepare it for the trip and help us to buy veterinary equipment and medications.
Charlotte is a Veterinary Surgeon with 10 years of experience and a passion for wildlife, the sea and nature. She hopes to use her skills to make a difference to those less fortunate and any other animals she may encounter on her path. Charlotte started sailing in 2017 where she took part as crew in the Fastnet race, and loves being in or on the water, being a keen surfer and sailor.
Lloyd is an electrical engineer, project manager and ex army Major. He has previously run a sailing charity and has a passion for sailing, adventuring and, now, animals! Lloyd is a commercially endorsed Yacht Master and has sailed in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Norway and taught hundreds of others how to sail and race.
The boat: to be confirmed! We’re looking for a 38-50ft yacht or catamaran with capabilities to cross the Atlantic, live aboard and be as sustainable as possible. We are planning on taking our dogs with us so a safe cockpit is ideal.
