Saint John Krishna Centre - Temple Room Renovations
This fundraising campaign will benefit spiritual seekers in Saint John as they will have a sacred place to visit, connect with the divine and learn the process of Bhakti-Yoga.
The whole community will benefit as the centre will focus on distributing prasadam (blessed food), circulating the books of His Divine Grace, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and conducting regular programs which will include Japa and Kirtan (mantra meditation).
The centre is being held in a 3 unit apartment building and will feature:
- 2 Living apartments for dedicated devotees who want to live /visit
the centre
- A temple room for deity worship and regular programs
- A Kitchen dedicated exclusively for the cooking of Krishna Prasadam
- Sleeping quarters for travelling devotees and brahmachari's.
- Hall of Saints - a staircase entrance which will feature pictures of saints from around the world.
- Backyard for outdoor programs and growing of vegetables and flowers.
The funds raised through this campaign will be used to renovate the temple room, purchase deities and decorations to transform this space into a spiritual sanctuary for the visitors and devotees.
The quicker we can reach the goal of $5000 the quicker the temple room will be finished and the centre can expand it's activities of distributing prasadam, circulating spiritual literature and conducting regular programs.
Currently the Saint John Krishna gatherings and programs are held inside of a wellness centre with no Kitchen or living quarters. We are conducting a weekly program and have a growing community. Having a stable building will further the mission and bring many souls back to God.
