Sakura's FIP Battle
Donation protected
About 5 days ago, I noticed Sakura was acting strange. She wasn't cuddling with me, she was hiding, she wasn't eating, and she had some accidents outside her litter box. I took her to the vet figuring it could just be some sort of bladder infection. It was much worse than that.

Sakura was diagnosed with FIP-- a fatal disease that develops from feline coronavirus. In most cases, the virus goes away. But in rare cases, such as this, it later turns into FIP. However, last year a "cure" was developed. Many cats have had success with it. As you might have guessed, it's very expensive.

Sakura has been in the hospital for the last 3 days. She has had to stay over night, get many tests done, and even had a blood transfusion due to her anemia. Her medical expenses are racking up (almost $2000 already) and the treatment for FIP alone is about $3000.

Everyone who has ever met Sakura knows how sweet, kind, and gentle she is. I've raised many cats over the years and she is truly the most special one I've ever had. I saved her when she was a kitten and she hasn't left my side since. She trusts me unconditionally and that's why I can't give up on her. Sakura is young, not even 3 yet. She deserves a long, happy life with me. I've never loved an animal as much as I love her. I would be destroyed if I lost her.

I'm essentially spending every penny I have to save Sakura, but it's still not enough. I've never asked for money before but I need help. And this is for her. Many of you love Sakura and care deeply about her-- some of you have even asked if there's anyway you can help. This is how you can help.

I know everyone is struggling financially right now due to COVID 19, including myself. I understand if you can't donate at all, or only a small amount. But if you can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for reading this. If you can pass it on, that would help too. And of course, I will post updates of Sakura's journey!
