Sala battling to live!!!

Hi, my name is Andrew am launching this second round of campaign in
support of my dear sister Salaseini.
Meet Sala, a 27-year-old young woman whose life took an unexpected turn at the end of 2018 when she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, leaving her with only 3% kidney function. These past few years have been incredibly tough for Sala, marked by the need for three kidney dialysis sessions each week, each lasting four long hours.
Sala longs for a normal life where she can freely connect with family, friends and chase her dreams. The idea that her future dreams might be abruptly shattered was incredibly difficult, especially when Sala was just two semesters away from completing her university degree. As time passed, a cloud of depression often descended, fuelled by the frustration of physical limitations, and being connected to a machine for those gruelling four-hour sessions.
Sala’s chance at a normal life is dependent on a kidney transplant. In 2020 through the help of family and friends they managed to raise the necessary funds of $50,000 to send her to India for her transplant surgery. Unfortunately, her trip was put on hold due to the closure of the borders from the pandemic.
With the borders gradually reopening in 2022, Salas hopes of moving towards better health and a touch of normalcy was renewed. But the world's unexpected twists weren't finished yet. The cost of treatment, including accommodations, airfare for both the patient and donor, as well as two caregivers, surged from $60,000 to an a $118,000. The financial impact of the pandemic had cast a shadow of uncertainty on their plans.
On top of this burden, they also needed to replenish the funds spent on dialysis and medications for the 3 years, an amount close to $61,000 FJD. Faced with these mounting challenges, the gap between available funds and actual expenses is significant, requiring an additional $48,000 FJD to bridge it.
It has been a long 3+ years, and the toll of dialysis on Sala's body grows heavier. Your generosity and belief in second chances can help revive Sala's dreams.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope in Sala's journey. Your support is not just financial; it's the gift of renewal and the promise of brighter days ahead.
