Salih’s Destiny: Turkey Earthquake Survivor

Hello, my name is Brad Schmitz and I am fundraising for a 14 year old boy named Salih Ari.

Salih is a survivor of the devastating Feb 6th, 2023 earthquake that hit eastern Turkey. Salih’s parents and other family members were killed in the earthquake.

After the earthquake Salih became a student in my friend Daniel Okun’s English class in Istanbul. Daniels and I have been working together over the past 3 years in doing pen pal projects between his students in Turkey learning English and students in Alaska, USA for my tour company Alaska English Adventures.

Daniels has taken the role of mentor and caretaker for this young man and has asked me to help raise money so he can study in the USA when he gets to college.

100% of money raised will go into this scholarship account for Salih and his future.
