Sally Chisholm Expenses for Kidney Transplant.

In February 2019 our lives came to a screeching halt when my mom was rushed to the hospital with what we thought was high blood pressure issues. 4 days later we find out she has a rare kidney disease that effects only 7 people in every 10 million. We always knew she was special. The disease is called focal segmental glomerosclerosis FSGS. We began to wonder if she would make it through the day. Then we find out she has more medical issues. 

Not only is this non curable but it very hard to maintain daily. She has to eat a specific diet with all her medical issues which is expensive.   With the high cost of medications it is also a burden on the family financially. Some treatments have not been covered by insurance since it is so rare. 

it’s been hard seeing my mom being so active prior to this and now she struggles to get through a normal day. Yet she doesn’t complain or ask for help if she can avoid it. Mom and dad both will be the first ones to offer to help anyone else. 

Mom has a positive attitude about life. She says live life everyday like it the last day of your life, love always and never forget there’s always someone that has it worse than you do so counts your blessings.  Latest news is that mom needs a kidney transplant. Please keep praying for our family
