Sally’s Duck Rescue
Donation protected
I first became aware of Sally’s rescue centre when I reached out to find advice about looking after an injured wild duck. My own love for ducks has grown right through lockdown and I liaised with Sally about bringing some of her rescue ducks to come and live with me .
In September I took a trip to the centre to collect my ducks and helped out for a couple of days. I was amazed by the love and dedication shown to each and every duck. Sally knows them all! No duck is ever turned away and they even have a small collection of resident disabled ducks.
Sally and Tim’s whole lives revolves around their dedication to giving these ducks the best quality of life and a chance to find a new forever home. Housing, feeding and bedding so many ducks is a costly affair and that’s without veterinary fees!
Their commitment to these adorable ducks has inspired me to find a way to help raise some additional funding to help with these day-to-day costs.
so! I am going to do some walking - at a very apt location - where there is a huge pond and a lot of ducks! I’ve worked out how far one lap of the pond is and am going to walk around it enough times to cover 10km. This is approximately 26 laps. I intend to walk this as fast as I can, so no silly-dallying on my part!
Every single penny you donate Will go towards giving these ducks the best life and their best chance of long-term happiness and regular donations would be just amazing!?
