Salome's Cancer Battle Fund

Hello friends. I am creating this GoFundMe for my dear friend Salome Breziner Wyman. A little over a year ago in July 2022 Salome had a brain seizure at her house, her youngest son found her seizing and unconscious. Not knowing CPR, he did what he thought would help, breaking her ribs and sternum but ultimately saving her life. When she woke up in the hospital at UCLA, Salome was told she had a brain tumor that was metastasized from stage 4 breast cancer. This brave sweet soul has been silently fighting metastatic breast cancer for over a year now. She has completed radiation, is now on immunotherapy, and is hopeful that with advanced care, she can live for many years to come! Not wanting to burden any of us with her battle, she has kept up a façade of smiles. The truth is, she has been unable to work as her health declined and now finds herself buried in medical bills adding horrendous anxiety to an already stressful situation. Salome now finds herself on the brink of losing her home and having to rehome her beloved pets just to be able to continue life-preserving treatment. It is a horrible testament to our country’s healthcare system that a woman who has worked so hard as an independent filmmaker, been a dedicated mother, and contributed so much to society must now rely on the kindness of others to stay housed and continue getting the medical care she needs to stay alive.
