Dear Clients and Friends,

We miss you all so much and hope you are staying healthy and sane during this terrible time. When we opened Salon Bisoux exactly 7 years ago this week, we wanted to create the best experience for our guests who are in many ways family to us. It’s been devastating to close the salon and watch the effects of COVID-19 both here in the United States and all over the world, including Philippe’s native France. Our thoughts are with the healthcare workers risking their lives and we hope we can flatten the curve quickly. 

The pandemic has brought the salon industry to a total standstill and threatens the financial security of thousands of salons and stylists all over the country. Philippe and I are doing everything we can to apply for the financial aid that’s now being offered by the federal government, but details are still unclear, and demand is extremely high. The bottom line is that closing the salon through June 10th is an enormous hardship on our business and more importantly our dedicated staff. Without money coming in there is little we can do to support them since we all are either commission or hourly based workers. We started this fundraiser as a way to provide a modest one-time stipend to our staff to help as much as we can. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $30,000 (you can change this) that will be split evenly amongst each of them to help cover cover their healthcare costs, housing and food. We will provide stipends in one-time payments of $500 or $1000. (you can change these amounts) depending on how much money we raise. If we meet our goal and surpass it, we can then provide additional relief.

100% of funds contributed will go directly to our stylists and staff; no additional overhead or administrative costs will be applied. The total amount distributed will depend on the amount donated. 

Donations to GoFundMe cannot be claimed as a tax write off. 

We will distribute funds via PayPal, Venmo or check to our staff and will provide records and receipts of all distributed funds on request after the campaign has closed. However, all personal, identifying information will be kept confidential. In the event that the campaign surpasses its goal and every staff member has received a stipend, the remaining funds will be distributed evenly.
