Salon Vivo’s Relief Fund-COVID 19

To our valued Salon Vivo families,

The impact of the coronavirus has extended far beyond those who have become infected. Entire communities now face a very unfamiliar shelter in place and quarantines as well. In the hair service industry, we rely on our wonderful clients like you to keep us up and running on a daily basis and the sad fact is we are unable to open our salon to you at this time.

Being independent contractors comes with a lot of fiscal responsibility above and beyond what you see at the salon. Along with a lot of others in the service industry, when we are unable to work, we do not get paid and the bills start to pile up. Additionally, independent contractors do not qualify for unemployment benefits so our stylists don’t have that to fall back on either. The last thing we want is to see ANY of our stylists struggle any more than they have already.

With such a staggering number of people in quarantine and more becoming sick by the minute, needs quickly mount. Everything from basics, such as food, prescriptions, household items, the day to day costs, to health insurance are urgently needed as our family of stylists have lost all of their wages during this time.

Our hope is, as we reach out for help, our tight community will lend a hand to keep us a float during this uneasy time and until we can open the salon again, which is hopefully soon and when we do, we will be stronger and closer than ever before.
