Saltash RFC's U16s final age grade tour.

Donation protected
The young gentlemen of the current U16s team at Saltash RFC have attacked and enjoyed every season and this 2023/24 one is no exception.
Sadly this season is as bitter as is sweet for them as its their final age grade year, this season will probably be the last that many of them will play together, ever, couple that with this being their last academic year together before going off to different colleges/apprenticeships (and with horrible things like GCSEs thrown into the mix) and you can start to appreciate the emotional roller coaster these young people are currently navigating. Despite all of this, they turn up in all weathers for training, matches and each leave everything they have on the pitch whilst displaying all of the core values of rugby and sportsmanship. Their drive, effort and camaraderie is an absolute pleasure to experience, especially in a world that appears to be severely lacking. To say that us parents and volunteer coaches are immensely proud of them would be a criminal understatement.
With all this in mind we want to make the end of this final season special for them and give them the send off they not only crave but in our opinion deserve. We, hopefully with your help want to raise funding to take the entire team on tour to Gibraltar for a few days, there they will have the opportunity to play against Gib's own U16s at their beautiful international stadium sporting the best facilities and fitness suite imaginable. Along with this we want to let them experience Britain and Gibraltar's intertwined 320 year history so they really understand our shared culture and the two territories' bond forged in siege and battle.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to read and hopefully understand our reasons for trying to make this difficult year as special as we can for our epic lads.
We all understand that the current economic climate makes these things difficult and accept that even if you do support you may not be in a position to donate, in such cases a share of this page would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rich
