Saltash U15s tour to Malta
Donation protected
Saltash RFC run 9 youth teams starting at Under 7’s progressing to Under 16’s, we have over 250 children registered with the club, with membership continuing to grow.
Saltash RFC exists because of the contributions from player’s parents, club members, guests visiting our clubhouse and generous donations from sponsors.
When it comes to community and Saltash, we exist due to a small army of volunteers dedicating time to training teams and running the club, this provides a foundation and facility to develop local rugby players, engaging with the community and bridging many generations, from the very young to the respected players of previous years, metaphorically speaking passing the ball backwards to the next generation!
Rugby tours are an integral part of the journey of youth rugby and as a club we look to take every team on at least one tour during their time in the youth section.
Historically this has been funded through players fundraising with events such as cake sales at home games, however due to the current climate the costs to take a team on tour has grown exponentially and we are now seeking to raise funds via sponsorship from local business’s.
This year it is the turn of our U15s team to head on tour, this team are a large squad of 26 players with the majority of the team having been with the club since the start of their journey as an U7.
