Saltersgate Junior School

Over the weekend of 9th, 10th and 11th December, Saltersgate suffered a burst pipe due to freezing temperatures. This resulted in the year 4 classrooms being wholly flooded and everything in the classrooms being destroyed. The children have had to miss school on Monday and Tuesday due to the cleanup. They are due to head back on Wednesday. Although the bricks, mortar, fixed desks, etc., are replaceable via insurance, the resources are not.

As it is so close to Christmas, which I appreciate, Christmas or not, we are all going through very troubling times. I am asking for a small donation so the school can replace the resources such as reading books, soft cushions and bean bags in the reading corners, maths resources, SEND resources, and anything the insurance company cannot/will not replace.

All children at every school, have had the hardship of Covid-19. Saltersgate Junior now has the difficulty of resuming school to the best they can with limited resources. They will unfortunately not be returning to their classrooms until spring term next year and therefore, we hope we can make it as normal as possible until this happens.
