Saltney Town FC Fit for the Future Fundraiser

From small beginnings in 2010, Saltney Town FC are a Club full of ambition who currently have a Senior Squad with Reserves, and a junior section with over 130 children registered, including a growing girls section.

Playing our home games at Sandy Lane, Saltney the club maintains the ground 12 months a year, making sure that the facilities are they best that they can be for everyone at the club and the local community. This includes cutting and marking the six pitches, which is currently done using a small Cub Cadet ride on mower that the club purchased a number of years ago when there was a lot less cutting needed.

Not only has the club outgrown its little mower, the additional use has finally started to take its toll and we are now suffering multiple costly breakdowns as parts wear out and the mower comes to the end of its little life.

The poor thing has definitely seen better days, so we need to start saving for its replacement so that it can enjoy a happy retirement before it finally gives up.

We are raising £5000 pound towards the cost of a replacement machine and attachments, so that we can ensure that the club is Fit for the Future and able to continue maintaining the pitches for seasons to come!
