Ayuda Urgente para Nieve!

Nieve fue diagnosticado recientemente con una enfermedad mortal  conocida como PIF húmeda (FIP en inglés). Esta enfermedad hace que los glóbulos rojos de la sangre se autodestruyan, provocando una muerte segura y muy rápida, Los gatos se vuelven letargicos, no comen, no beben,  aparece líquido en su abdómen y sus pulmones, vomitan, pierden la vista y  la motricidad en los casos de PIF seco,... Nieve estaba ya muy enfermo cuando nos dimos cuenta, y sin saber muy bien como actuar le realizamos una transfusión de sangre que costó más de 400€ pero le alargó la vida un poco más. Seguía empeorando muy rápidamente, pero mientras tanto investigamos por todos lados y hemos descubierto un tratamiento experimental que funciona en el 95% de las ocasiones. Su tratamiento tiene un elevado coste, que oscila entre 3000 y 4000 €, mas las visitas al veterinario para supervisión, los análisis que hay que ir haciendo , ecografías y un largo etc. Nos hemos endeudado con el Banco y hemos invertido todos nuestros ahorros, cualquier cosa con tal de poder seguir manteniendo con vida a Nieve. Necesitamos de tu ayuda, por muy poco que sea, para poder continuar con este tratamiento y darle una segunda oportunidad a Nieve, un gato de a penas 2 años de vida que tanta felicidad nos da a nosotros y a nuestro pequeño de 11 años, que es el que peor lo está pasando.

Nieve vino a nosotros por casualidad, lo recogimos atropellado, casi desangrado y con hipotermia en la carretera cuando volvíamos a casa un 15 de Diciembre de hace 2 años a las 20h. Sólo ibamos a retirar su cuerpecito de la carretera, para que no siguieran atropellando su cadáver....pero levantó la cabeza del charco de sangre. Se le operó de urgencia porque tenía fractura craneal, luego nos dimos cuenta de que andaba en círculos, no veía, no coordinaba...y durante meses estuvo luchando hasta que bajó su inflamación cerebral y se convertió en un gran gato especial, siempre inseparable de  Vivaldi (otro de nuestros gatitos rescatados) que hizo de su guia durante todos esos meses. Así que sabemos a ciencia cierta que es un gato fuerte y luchador, capaz de superar cualquier cosa. Tiene un alma luchadora, es un gran guerrero.

A principios de año la salud de Nieve fue deteriorandose poco a poco y no encontrabamos el motivo. Numerosos viajes al veterinario, pruebas , analíticas....Pensabamos que era un parásito de la sangre, estuvo con antibióticos, mejoraba, volvía a empeorar....Llegó un momento en que no aguantaba mas, apenas pesaba 2 Kg, no tenía fuerzas ni para caminar. Lo llevamos al Hospital de la Universidad de Zaragoza y ellos hicieron pruebas complementarias, radiografias, ecografías, PCR, análisis del líquido en el torax, .....y nos dieron el diagnóstico: PIF. No había nada que hacer, .era una condena a muerte....pero nos hablaron de un tratamiento experimental del que no sabian mucho, y dimos mil vueltas hasta que encontramos un grupo que nos podía ayudar. Un grupo de gente cuyos gatos tenían la misma enfermedad, y los estaban tratando con éxito. Pero los laboratorios no han querido legalizar el medicamento, así que es muy difícil conseguirlo y muy caro. Son 84 dias de inyecciones, y cada día cuesta en torno a los 40€ y 50€ dependiendo de la marca del medicamento. Pero es la única manera. Así que comenzamos el tratamiento, y estamos viendo como Nieve va mejorando poco a poco. Con el miedo de que con el cierre de fronteras haya un corte de suministro, o que falle el transporte que nos lo trae, o que no podamos terminar el tratamiento por falta de dinero, ahora que nos hemos quedado sin trabajo debido al Covid-19.   Todo nuestro esfuerzo no servirá de nada si ahora que hemos empezado interrumpimos el tratamiento por falta de ese dinero que necesitamos .

Son muchos los costes que tenemos que afrontar para poder hacer esto por Nieve. Las facturas del veterinario local, del Hospital Veterinario de Zaragoza, el tratamiento, los análisis que quedan por hacer, medicación suplementaria que hay que ir dándole a la vez que el tratamiento....Es un mal momento para todos, nosotros además nos hemos quedado sin trabajo y sin ahorros, con la deuda del Banco, tenemos que alimentar a nuestro niño, una perra de 60 kg y otros 2 gatitos rescatados...Necesitamos de toda vuestra ayuda, aunque sea muy poquito lo que podeis ofrecer, para nosotros es un mundo. Y compartid, compartid mucho por favor, es importante que la gente que tiene gatos sepa que se puede salir de esta terrorifica enfermedad que ataca sobre todo a gatos jovenes.

There was nothing to do, it was a death sentence ... but they told us about an experimental treatment that they didn't know much about, and we went a thousand times until we found a group that could help us. A group of people whose cats had the same disease, and were treating them successfully. But the laboratories have not wanted to legalize the drug, so it is very difficult to get it and very expensive. There are 84 days of injections, and each day costs around € 40 and € 50 depending on the brand of the medicine. But it is the only way. So we started the treatment, and we are seeing how Nieve is improving little by little. Fearing that with the closure of borders there will be a supply cut, or that the transport that brings it to us will fail, or that we will not be able to finish the treatment due to lack of money, now that we are out of work due to the Covid-19 . All our effort will be useless if now that we have started we interrupt the treatment due to lack of the money we need.

There are many costs that we have to face in order to do this for Nieve. The bills from the local veterinarian, from the Veterinary Hospital of Zaragoza, the treatment, the analyzes that remain to be done, supplementary medication that must be given at the same time as the treatment ... It is a bad time for all of us, we have also out of work and savings, with the Bank's debt, we have to feed our child, a 60 kg bitch and 2 other rescued kittens ... We need all your help, even if it is very little what you can offer, for us It's a world.
