1. Juan Martín Díaz Martínez (SIN)
2. Ana Barbara Garcia Ritchie (BC)
3. Daniel Gomez de la Vega (CDMX)
4.Roberto Librado Salmerón (GRO)

CONFIAMOS EN EL PODER DE LA COMUNIDAD Y EL AMOR HACIA EL SURF EN MEXICO.
VIVA MEXICO, VIVA EL SURF!

Dear national and international SURF family:

The family and friends of MEXICO's national Surf Team, we write to you URGENTLY to ask for your support in the face of a very uncomfortable situation that Mexico Surf has been dragging on since 2015 and that is greatly affecting the professional career of our athletes. The current leaders of the Mexican Surfing Federation (FMS) have expressed their lack of interest and ability to provide a real solution to this serious problem; They are currently overwhelmed and have no real plan to provide a definitive solution.

In 2015, the Mexican Surfing Federation (FMS) hosted the International Surfing Association (ISA) Stand-Up Paddle board (SUP) world championship on the beaches of Sayulita, Nayarit. Since then, a debt of $125,000 dollars was owed to the ISA, which led to a serious conflict and forced us to change directors at the FMS. Under the new president elected in 2016, money was paid towards that debt so that the ISA would allow Mexico to compete in the world championships in the different SURF competitions and the debt was reduced to $60,437.64 dollars.

However, since December 2021 (21 months ago), the FMS has not been able to comply with the agreement of the monthly payment of $1,000 dollars and we have been SUSPENDED indefinitely by the ISA, leaving us out of any World Championship until a minimum of $21,000 dollars is covered and continue paying $1,000 dollars a month.
Due to this painful situation and the mismanagement of the FMS, our SUP team COULD NOT ATTEND THEIR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN FRANCE (September 24 - October 1, 2023), which was surprising and devastating news for our athletes, causing them psychological damage and a irreparable impact on their sports career.

There are still two more world championships this year that we want to save: the ISA World Para Surfing Championship in Huntington Beach CA from November 5 to 11 and the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship from November 24 to December 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

URGENTLY, $21,000 dollars MUST BE PAID directly to the ISA account before October 20, 2023 in order to REMOVE THE SANCTION and give our teams the opportunity to participate in their World Championships. Once this is achieved, the debt must continue to be paid $1,000 dollars per month for 39 months until this debt is settled and thus guarantee that in the future none of our selections suffer sanctions for which they are not responsible.
The Para Surfing selection is made up of:
1. Juan Martín Díaz Martínez (SIN)
