Hi everyone, Sam and I feel super blessed in life on multiple levels. For our wedding, the best gift you can give us is your company, the joy of a honeymoon, and the ability for us to share our good fortune with others. Money that people give us will be used as follows: a portion will be used toward our honeymoon trip to Vermont and Montreal, and portions will be donated to three causes dear to us:
1) The Hopkins Hollow Historic Cemetery: we love understated beauty of our ancestral Rhode Island homeland. This little gem is a perfect example.
2) GLAD: this organization fought for the legal rights of LGBTQ families for decades before Marriage Equality. We are so lucky to be able to do what we are doing and will not take that for granted!
3) PanCan: like almost everyone, our family has been touched by cancer. In particular, we lost Sam's father, Steve, in March. In addition to research, PanCan helps families less fortunate than ours to mitigate the financial devastation a cancer diagnosis can bring.
