Sam and Dan: Road to Paris

Hi! We are Sam Schachter and Dan Dearing, long time Volleyball Canada athletes, and currently in pursuit of the Paris Olympics this summer!

We founded our partnership in 2022 with the goal of reaching the Summer 2024 Olympics. We have represented Canada on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour for the past two seasons and are continuing to work hard in our off season before the final push to Paris. In the last months of our qualification period, we will be travelling extensively - Europe, Asia, South America and more!

Our goal is to qualify for the Olympics being a top 17 ranked team in the World. Currently, we are ranked 21st, which puts us in a very competitive position! Over the next 4 of months, we hope to improve our ranking by playing in as many tournaments as possible. With such small margins, your help today could make the difference!
