Sam and Turtle

My name is Kristin Lucey and I'm a new-ish dog trainer, one of the group of trainers put together by Sandi Thompson at Bravo Pup . Learning from Sandi by watching her lead classes with humor, serenity and skill has been simply awe-inspiring.

It was in a Bravo!Pup class where I first met Turtle "IRL". Turtle is Sandi's intrepid and fur-fantastic assistant dog. Countless other dog guardians in the Bay Area have also learned under the watchful gaze of Miss Turtle or have seen a behavior "demo'ed" by her and Sandi at Bravo!Pup classes.

Students of the Academy for Dog Trainers have also glimpsed both Turtle and the third member of Sandi's team, Mr. Sam, in videos that are a part of the Academy curriculum. Sandi, Sam and Turtle are thus a treasured part of this extended family of trainers and guardians.

And now the team needs our help. Turtle is 16 years old; Sam is 14. The two are simultaneously and suddenly experiencing multiple significant health issues. Sandi is pulling out all the stops to care for them. It's expensive. We're hoping to support Sandi in this stressful and emotionally difficult time by helping to defray some of the vet bills.
