For those of you who don’t know my little brother Sam, he’s the one on the right. He has the kindest of loyal hearts and a fierce sense of friendship, family, and love. For those that know Sam, I know you would agree. And, he has the puppy’s endorsement so that pretty much seals the deal. This is my favorite photo of Sam. It’s pure, simple happiness, but in easier times. Sam is currently facing some tough medical challenges and issues with disability red tape. His diabetes is becoming insulin-resistant and his kidneys and pancreas are taking a beating. A stent that was placed to repair a dissecting aneurysm has shifted and is pushing on his spine. Unable to work right now and continued delays processing his disability has left him in a bit of a pickle and am reaching out to ask for your help. Like so many others, he is left to ration what insulin he has and goes without other much needed medication. His car is in need of some minor maintenance to get it road worthy so he can get to his doctor’s appointments. Your kindness and support for Sam as he navigates these bumps in the road are appreciated more than you know and will certainly help Sam during this challenging time. Thank you all so much.
