Dad (Sam DeJaynes) received the news about his Cancer. It is advanced non small cell lung cancer.
Without treatment, his prognosis is 2 months. The doctor did state that recent health advances have really opened up the treatment options for someone facing this diagnosis.
To say we are shocked, saddened and upset is an understatement. After the initial shock wears off, we will get back up and fight another day.
So will Dad. He has yet to give up on anything he starts and this will be no exception. The man is remarkable and I have complete faith in his ability to fight this and be positive while doing it.
With that being said, Dad and his wife (Lisa) are still rebounding from her Cancer treatments. She was just diagnosed 1 year ago with Breast Cancer and had just finished radiation when Dad's battle began.
She cannot miss a great deal of work after her yearlong battle.
Dad will only miss work when it's needed.
They will need financial help. The amount of appointments to go to is alarming just to start treatment. The amount of work missed will affect them when he is actually in the treatment stage.
I hate doing fundraisers but don't feel as though there are too many options at this point.
And you all know me. Just doing what I can and when I can to help out.
I love him. So very much. We all do.
Anything will help.
Much love.
