Sam Delisi Special Yagya & Final Expenses

Donation protected

Dear friends of Sam Delisi,

Our dear Sam passed way on June 2, 2024 after a short stay at the Hospice House in Ottumwa. He had been transferred there from the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City where he had been for 2 weeks.

I am sure all of us have many memories of Sam the Man...always ready to serve Maharishi in any way, big or small, and always ready to do it at a moment's notice, in the most cheerful way. His favorite motto from Maharishi was "See the job, do the job, stay out of misery."

Sam was a part of the Movement family for over 50 years. He was initiated in Peoria, Il in 1971, and became an Initiator in 1973 in La Antilla, Spain. He subsequently taught TM in Chicago, and as part of the West Los Angeles Board of Executive Governors; in 1978 he participated in the Ideal Society Campaign in Olympia, Washington, and the World Peace Project in Guatemala. Sam was Kitchen Director and Purchaser at the Sidhaland in Avon Park, Fl in 1979. He joined the Thousand Headed Purusha Program in 1982 at MIU, and earned the MBA degree. While on Purusha he spent time at facilities in Livingston Manor, North Carolina, and West Virginia, and traveled to many countries on Movement projects. Sam was a member of Purusha for over 30 years, and then came to join the Fairfield Super Radiance community in 2015. Here he met and married Amena Yu in 2017. Amena had come to MIU from Hong Kong as a legal researcher, and in 2020 earned her MBA in Sustainable Business. Sam is survived by his wife Amena, who continues to work for MIU, and an elder sister who lives in Canada.

We have organized this campaign with the goal of having performed for Sam a Special Maharishi Yagya that has the Sankalpa "To Promote Evolution of the Departed Soul". If you would like to contribute to this Yagya, that would be very much appreciated by Sam's family, friends and well-wishers. The Dakshina for this Special Maharishi Yagya is $5000.

In addition, there is a need to raise funds to cover some of the end-of-life expenses for dear Sam, such as hospice care, cremation, legal expenses, and Vedic ceremonies on the Ganga in India. These expenses presently come to approximately $500.

We are pooling all these expenses together, which add up to a goal of $5,500 for both the Yagya and final expenses. We are hopeful that we will be able to raise this amount in donations. (If we don't raise enough funds to fully cover the Yagya, any amount raised will all be used for covering end-of-life expenses.)

Thank you all very much, for blessing Sam with a gift of a Special Maharishi Yagya and for helping take care of the final expenses.

A Memorial for Sam will be held in the near future.
