Cancer medical funding for Sam Gilbert

Hello, my name is Sam and I'm 42 years old and have a wife and 2 kids.

I'm the founder of Music Crowns, a promotions and opportunities hub for unsigned, independent and breakthrough music artists from all across the world. I've been doing this for 14 years and have worked with over 30,000 music artists including Ren, Sam Tompkins, Lewis Capaldi, Charlotte OC, Freya Ridings and Callum Scott to name a few.

Until recently (due to my health) I have been a grassroots football (soccer) coach for my son's team for the past 4-5 years.

I need to raise funds as on April 15th 2024 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has spread to my liver, chest and abdomen. I was made aware that certain drugs are available on the NHS but I may need to take a genetics test which costs £3500-4000 (this finds specific gene mutations) and then the medicine thereafter can cost as much as £5,000-10,000 per month for a maximum of 2 years. At this precise moment I do not know the cost* and what I am compatible with but I am aware that starting a fundraiser early will greatly assist my cause when/if the time comes where I need this specific medical treatment.

*The fundraising goal may change because of these uncertainties.

It pains me to have to set this fundraiser up as I am not one to ask for help or being the centre of attention but having spent the majority of my working life helping others I'm learning to accept it and need to give myself the best chance of NED (no evidence of disease).
