Sam Glaster's road to recovery

Hi friends, I'm sure you can all recall the day our lives changed. 8 months ago on March 5th Sam was in a dirt bike accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. We've had our good days and our bad days and are thankful for the days we've had! Those of you who know my husband knows he won't settle for "this is your life now" or "think of your wheelchair as a means to get from point A to point B". Sam is a fighter! He's the strongest person I know! He's taken this challenge and exceeded in every way possible! He has continued to look for answers and has finally come up with a solution. I'm sure at some point you've heard of "Stem Cell Replacement Therapy". With that said, it's not FDA approved therefore insurance won't cover that kind of surgery so ALL expenses are OUT of pocket... He went through tests to see and was confirmed he IS a candidate. Sam has the opportunity that most people would dream of. We have a surgery date on December 19th in Cyprus Greece for stem Cell Replacement surgery. My husband feels like this is his chance to walk again! Dr Smith is the professor and chief of neurosurgery for the university medical center of southern Nevada (UNLV) he is also considered a world leader in minimally invasive spinal cord surgery. Sam has the privilege of him preforming his surgery which entails the removal of his existing hardware and repositioning his spine to a more neutral position, then inject the stem cell into the injured areas including above and below his spinal cord. Surgery is expected to take 4 hours with 4 days of hospitalization and 7 days post-op follow up with daily examinations till safe for him to fly home. The out of pocket expense is $65,000 plus airfare.
We have refinanced our house to pay for the surgery unfortunately we're still short.
