Sam was born into a small family with only his mom and 2 brothers. He grew up being a very friendly and caring person. Throughout his life he was always been helpful and supportive. He was generous, genuine and always there for friends and family whenever he was needed. Despite all the medical issues he had, he was always willing to lend a helping hand and be there for all of his love ones, near or far.
Unfortunately, on January 4th, 2024 around 3am, Sam had a stroke and was airlifted to St. Luke's Hospital where he had to get brain surgery. Due to all his health conditions he already had(stage 3 kidney failure, heart failure and lung failure), his blood pressure was too high that a blood vessel in his brain burst causing him to have brain bleed. Surgery was successful and he was doing a lot better but due to his brain bleed on the right side of his brain, he lost all movement to the left side of his body. Even though he was not able to move his left side of the body, he was able to remember us, understand us, talk a little, joke around with us and even able to flip us off. Everything was looking like it was going in the right direction until January 18th, 2024, doctors decided to put Sam on dialysis because his kidneys were not looking good. Sam was able to be on dialysis for 3 days and at the end of that 3rd day, he had 4 cardiac arrest back to back. Unfortunately, at 6:40pm on 1/21/2024 we all came to the conclusion of pulling the plug. He took his last breath at 7:00pm. He left on the day he was born.
For any friends and family that wants to or is able to contribute to his funeral expenses, we would love that. We would really appreciate that.
