Sam needs an IPAD

Hi, My name is Sam. I need a new Ipad for my communication, education and recreational needs.

My goal is to raise $2000 for the Ipad, cover and brackets to fit on my stand so I can use it easily.

I have Cerebral Palsy and My Ipad helps me to participate socially as well. It is also the only thing I can use independently and my physical limitations are so severe. Offensively, the NDIS does not think that a funding request is reasonable or necessary.

The NDIS does not fund the Ipad but will fund the apps that go on to the Ipad. My current Ipad is over 10 years old and doesn't support the new apps.

"IPads generally won’t be funded under an NDIS plan. During Covid lockdowns, they were funded so that participants could attend Telehealth appointments. They have never been funded for recreational use and when I have attempted to get one funded for nonverbal participants it has been rejected as it doesn’t meet reasonable and necessary and value for money guidelines."
