Sam Roach - 2023 U.S. Disabled Golf Open

My name is Sam Roach and I have been given the opportunity to play in the 2024 U.S. Disabled Golf Open in Port St. Lucie, Florida on April 21st - 24th. I am a 27 year old who lives in Golden, Colorado. I was born with some health challenges which resulted in my leg amputation at 6 months old. I also had two holes in my heart and had to undergo open heart surgery at the age of 6 weeks old. My right hand has 3 fingers on it from birth. My grandfathers taught me how to play golf at the age of 2 years old. It has been my life's passion since that time. I have had a successful golf career working at multiple golf courses. In addition, I played on my high school team and one year in college. With the loving support of my friends and family, I continue to pursue this passion.

I was selected to play in this disabled golf tournament for 2024. It is a privilege and I am honored to represent healthy, active disabled sportsmen so that others can understand that there are no limits to their potential.

I am trying to raise the money for me and my uncle (caddy) to travel to Flordia for this event. I promise you I will do everything possible to make you proud. Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can give me to pursue this dream.
