Sam Watkins Eagle Scout: Flag Retirement Network

I'm Sam Watkins, an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 101 in Warren, Ohio. To earn this rank, I need to organize and complete a community service project. For this project, I am constructing a series of wooden flag retirement boxes throughout Trumbull County. Currently, there is no convenient way to retire old American flags in our community. This is why I plan to install 4 of these boxes throughout the county. One being at Labrae local schools, another at Trumbull County Sheriff's Office, a third at Warren Township Fire Station, and one last one at my troops building Near Blessed Sacrament Church. You will be able to drop off old, worn-out American flags at these locations, and I will collect them monthly so my troop can retire them in a dignified and respectful manner.
