Sam Welch Jr

Hello friends and family, my dad Sam Welch Jr hasn't had a very fun go of it since turning 60. After experiencing sudden double vision and spending a few days in the hospital it was found he had a small tumor at the base of his skull. His care was transferred to The University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute where they specialize in the type of brain tumor my dad had. After several appointments and a biopsy, successful surgery to remove the tumor was done on March 26th. He now has a few months ahead of him for recovery and we pray that the tumor doesn't come back, and his vision returns to normal. He will continue to have doctor appointments ahead of him with the Neuro team and eye doctors. As many of you know my dad is very prideful of his ability to work and contribute to society, but because of this condition he has been off work for some time now, and it has been hard for him not being able to do his job. As of right now he has the time to cover his time off but soon that time will run out and he won't have the funds coming in to help with expenses. Our goal in starting this GoFund Me is to help give him roughly 3 months to bridge the gap and hopefully by then his recovery will be good enough for him to return to work. I know times are tough right now for many families, but any donation you could give would be greatly appreciated. I also want to thank friends and family for praying for my dad. I have witnessed through this whole process the power of prayer and it has been amazing. I also want to thank the teachers and staff at Hamilton High School for sending a card and gift cards for my dad, it really meant a lot to him. My dad has had a great attitude through this whole process hardly showing any fear at all. He has been through a lot in his life and has made many sacrifices.
