Sam's Funeral Expense

Samuel (Sam...Sammy) Rowold was only 13 years old when he was taken from us due to an accidental drowning.  Sam was Non-Verbal Autistic and was unable to realize the danger of being on the water's edge.  Sam was at home with his mother who was in the process of feeding him when she stopped to go to the restroom....Unbeknownst to his Mom, Sam unlocked the door and went outside as soon as she did.  Although Sam LOVED water, he did not like to swim in cold water, nor had he ever been swimming in the neighbors pond.  We believe that Sam went directly to the pond to do one of his very favorite activities...Throw rocks into the water.  Somehow, Sam must have fell into the water and tragically drowned.  We had so many rescue personnel searching for Sam, however due to the fact that there were NO marks of disturbance around any area of the pond, the pond was searched last.

Sam's family had no life insurance and the funeral expenses will be coming directly out of pocket. Many have asked if there was any way they could help. I believe that this is the best way to help Sam's family at this time. Also, any donations above the cost of the funeral will be given to the Autism Support Group from Hardin County who are searching for a way to get GPS bracelets for other Autistic children in our country to who are at risk of getting out of the house unsupervised.
