Sammie Brooks Judge Memorial/Save the Family Fund

Samantha “Sammie” Brooks Judge has been my friend since seventh grade. Sammie hasn’t always had an easy life; she is a breast cancer survivor, & she’s overcome multiple other challenges where most people would simply give up. 
 Fortunately, she’s been blessed to have a husband, Wesley,  who loves her to the moon & back; & who has worked hard as a self-employed master brick mason most of his life. 

Samantha was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s about 4 years ago, at only 52 years of age. Her condition  deteriorated  quickly. Wes tried to keep her with him, (often even taking her to job sites), just to keep her with him & to keep her safe & happy. Sadly, Sammie is now restricted to the hospital, & her disease has progressed to the terminal stage. She can no longer eat on her own & receiving her only nourishment via IV fluids. Her time is very limited.  Several weeks ago, Wes was diagnosed  with prostate cancer. Despite his diagnosis, Wes is still working hard, to continue sourcing & bidding masonry jobs for his crew to continue working. With Sammie’s mounding medical bills, and now Wesley’s, as well, he is facing  an unbelievably difficult  struggle. 

As Wesley is self employed, the family has has no health or life insurance, & is struggling just to make basic necessities & bills. Their  home is in need of major repairs. Both children work as well to help contribute to the family expenses, but the family desperately needs immediate assistance in order to repair & keep their home.

This fund has three main purposes:  
1.  To provide some relief for Sammie & Wes’s skyrocketing medical costs.
2. To provide necessary funds for impending funeral/burial costs. 
3. To help Wesley raise funds to  repair the home so it will be livable & reasonably comfortable for himself & his children during this terrible time.
