Samantha and Jacob Benner

Hello-my name is Elwood Benner and here is my family's story.
My wife Stephanie was diagnosed with stage 4 appendix cancer in September 2020. She fought the battle but unfortunately, she passed February 4,2022. She leaves 2 children behind- Samantha and Jacob.
No one can predict the future. I would like to be able to leave my children something to help with their future. Whether it's for education, braces, food or to help others. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated.
Stephanie was the strongest selfless person I have ever known. Her battle was never about why or self-pity but how she could spend what time she had left with her children. QTL- quality time left. When she gave birth to Samantha and then another gift in Jacob. Her world was complete. Truly happy and her world was filled with complete joy.
A quick story- We had to leave the house for the hospital as we were almost out the door. She stopped and proceeded to make some frozen ice pops for my daughter. Stef reminded me that she promised to make them for her the night before and didn't want to leave her children with the thought that mom did not keep her promise. Her kidneys were failing with flank pain, but ice pops were on the menu! I couldn't argue that one for she was not sure if she was going to return from the hospital.
Thank you for all the outpouring support. There may be a large void in our lives, but we are blessed to be surrounded by so many loving people.
