On Sunday morning of February 11th 2024, at 7:18, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Samantha, into our lives. Before she was born, unexpectedly at 27w3d, she had a hard last couple weeks in the womb because she had a lot of fluid due to hydrops. In an effort to reduce the amount of fluid and extend her time inside the womb, we made a trip to Minneapolis this past Wednesday to have a procedure done to her that involved placing two small shunts. All seemed to be well after the procedure but Friday night when we got back to Sioux Falls, the mother was admitted to the hospital again to be continuously monitored and she started developing an infection. Unfournetely after the events of the infection, Sammie was born prematurely at 27w3d and after fighting hard to stay alive, she passed later on at 2:03p
Since we already experienced a death of a baby girl 3 years prior, we already know that the costs of having to put a child to rest isn't easy or affordable. So we are just asking anything that people can give to help us get through these tough times.
Thank you
